Maricopa, AZ. – A child was injured in an electric bike accident in Maricopa on Tuesday morning, according to the police.
The accident happened around 8:00 a.m. on Porter Road near Alan Steven Parkway.
Police said the child was riding an electric bike against the flow of traffic when they tried to cross the roadway and was hit by a car that was turning right at a low rate of speed.
The child was taken to the hospital with minor bumps and scrapes.
