The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Toppenish, WA. – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision near Toppenish on Tuesday morning, according to the WSP.
The fatal collision happened around 8:30 a.m. on February 3 on State Route 22, one mile east of Zillah.
WSP said a GMC Yukon was traveling westbound when the driver tried to pass the westbound traffic, and entered the eastbound lane where he collided with an eastbound Nissan Altima.
The driver of the Nissan, a 31-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Yukon driver, a 30-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital, and charges against him are pending.
No additional information regarding the accident was available.
