The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died

Phoenix, AZ. – A man was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Friday evening in Central Phoenix, according to the police.
The fatal accident was reported around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of 23rd Avenue and Grand Avenue.
Police said a 29-year-old man was lying in the roadway when he was struck by a dark-colored van that was traveling eastbound on Grand Avenue.
The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
The van fled the scene after the accident, and police are yet to locate it.
An investigation is underway.
