Indianapolis, IN. – One person was injured in a collision involving a firetruck crash on Sunday morning in Indianapolis.
According to local police, the crash occurred on Interstate 465 near West 21st Street at around 5:30 a.m.
A vehicle slammed into the back of a firetruck as firefighters were preparing to leave the scene and transport a victim of a two-vehicle accident.
The driver of the third car was taken to the hospital for treatment.
None of the firefighting crews were injured in the crash.
It was not immediately clear if speed or impairment was a factor in the crash.
