Troopers said a 43-year-old Orange City man was traveling northbound on Spring Garden Avenue in a 1997 Toyota Camry when he lost control of the vehicle. The Toyota went off the road onto the median and hit a railroad crossing gate support pole.

DeLand, FL. – An Orange City man was killed following a traffic collision early Friday morning near DeLand, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision happened at about 2:01 a.m. on January 30, at Spring Garden Avenue and Cranleigh Avenue.
Troopers said a 43-year-old Orange City man was traveling northbound on Spring Garden Avenue in a 1997 Toyota Camry when he lost control of the vehicle. The Toyota went off the road onto the median and hit a railroad crossing gate support pole.
The car driver was declared dead at the crash site. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
