Officials said a vehicle went off the roadway and collided in a wooded area off the turnpike.
Martin County, FL. – One person was airlifted after a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning in Martin County, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened at around 7:36 a.m. on January 28, on the northbound Turnpike, just before Mile Marker 120, just north of the Palm Beach County line.
Officials said a vehicle went off the roadway and collided in a wooded area off the turnpike.
The driver and only the sole occupant of the car was injured. The patient was flown to the hospital for treatment.
Drivers were warned of delays for at least an hour as crews worked on the scene.
An investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol is underway.
