Port Charlotte, FL. – One person was killed after a traffic collision on Sunday afternoon in Port Charlotte, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at about 4:00 p.m. on January 25 on US-41 and Centennial Boulevard.

Troopers said an SUV was turning left from a stop sign on Centennial Boulevard and was trying to cross all lanes of US-41 violating the right-of-way of two motorcycles.

The two motorcycles collided with the vehicle.

One of the riders was declared dead at the crash site.
