The driver of a GMC Sierra pickup truck, believed to be stolen, failed to stop after being pulled over by the police, prompting a pursuit.
The pickup truck drove southbound on Michigan when it ran a red light and struck an eastbound Chevy Cruz at the intersection.
The driver of the Chevy Cruz was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The 31-year-old male suspect and his 24-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment. They were later taken into custody with multiple charges.
