Columbus, IN. – Two people lost their lives in a head-on collision on Monday afternoon in Columbus.
According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 12:41 p.m. in the 5000 block of East County Road 600 North.
Two vehicles reportedly collided head-on in unclear circumstances.
One driver was pronounced dead at the crash scene, while the other driver was airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
One passenger was also killed in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
