Peoria, IL. – A woman was hospitalized after a traffic collision on Thursday night in Peoria, according to the Peoria Fire Department.
The accident occurred at about 8:20 p.m. on January 15, on Illinois Route 6.
Fire officials said a vehicle left the roadway in unclear circumstances, moved about 50 to 75 feet over a stream before crashing into a concrete wall head-on.
The car was found 15 to 20 feet below the interstate.
The driver was removed from the vehicle and was rushed to OSF Healthcare St. Francis Medical Center by Advanced Medical Transport.
