The driver was pronounced dead at the crash scene

Fernley, NV. – One person was killed in a car crash on Monday night in Fernley.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Interstate 80 near mile marker 53 around 9:55 p.m.
A car was travelling westbound when it ran off the shoulder of the right side. The driver overcorrected by steering back to the left across all the westbound lanes and hit the median.
The driver was pronounced dead at the crash scene. According to the police, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
No one was reported injured in the fatal crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
