Authorities said a single vehicle collided in unclear circumstances.
Mackinaw, IL. – One person was killed after a single-vehicle accident early Christmas Eve morning in rural Mackinaw, according to the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office.
The deadly collision happened at around 4:30 a.m. December 24, in the 31000 block of Illinois Route 9 between Davis Lane and Coil Road.
Authorities said a single vehicle collided in unclear circumstances.
One individual, identified as a 62-year-old Mackinaw resident, was killed in the accident.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning.
An investigation by the coroner’s office and the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office is underway.
