A 65-year-old Pekin man driving the Ford Focus was pronounced dead on the scene.

Washington County, IN. – A 65-year-old man was killed in a two-car crash on Monday morning in Washington County.
According to the Indiana State Police, the accident occurred around 9:45 a.m. on State Road 135 between Vincennes Trail and East Purlee Road.
A red 2005 Ford Focus was traveling southbound on State Road 135 when it veered across the centerline and collided head-on with a silver 2023 Chevrolet Silverado.
A 65-year-old Pekin man driving the Ford Focus was pronounced dead on the scene.
The 64-year-old driving the Silverado was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The two drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
