Monroe County, IN. – A student was critically injured in a bicycle accident on Friday afternoon in Bloomington, Monroe County.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 3:45 p.m. near North Bottom Road and West Maple Grove Road.
A 19-year-old student was riding a bicycle and was struck by a Honda Accord.
The student was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital in critical condition.
The 20-year-old driver of the Honda sustained no injuries in the incident. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
