Sarasota, FL. – At least one person was injured after a vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon in Sarasota, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision occurred a while after 4:00 p.m. on December 3, on southbound I-75 at Sumter Boulevard.
Troopers said an unknown number of vehicles collided for reasons still under investigation.
At least one person was hurt in the accident. The patient was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
Traffic was diverted further south to Toledo Blade Boulevard, to exit I-75 and access Sumter Boulevard causing a delay for around 30 minutes.
