Officers say that the firetruck was responding to the scene of a vehicle accident when the crash occurred
Madison County, IN. – Three firefighters were injured in a Saturday afternoon crash involving a firefighting vehicle in Madison County.
According to the Van Buren Township Department, the accident happened around 12:16 pm at the intersection of County Road 1400 North and State Road 37.
A tanker was turning onto southbound State Road 37 from County Road 1550 North when it rolled over for unknown reasons.
Officers say that the firetruck was responding to the scene of a vehicle accident when the crash happened.
Two firefighters were taken to Community Hospital Anderson, while another firefighter was taken to Elwood Mercy Hospital for treatment.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
