Phoenix, AZ. – A motorcyclist was critically injured after being struck by a car early Saturday morning in downtown Phoenix, according to authorities.
The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of 16th Street and Van Buren Street.
A motorcyclist was traveling west on Van Buren Street when the driver of a car failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into his path, causing the collision.
Fire crews arrived at the scene and transported the rider to a hospital in critical condition.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
No arrests have been made.
The accident remains under investigation.
