Santa Rosa County, FL. – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Thursday morning in Santa Rosa County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Old Bagdad Highway near Rice Road at around 6 a.m.
The woman was walking along Old Bagdad Highway when she was hit by a red SUV that was traveling eastbound on Old Bagdad.
The female pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.
The vehicle fled the scene, but authorities report that they located a vehicle that may have been involved in the accident.
