Mason Triana Dead After Miami Police Standoff

Miami, Florida — October 9, 2025: Authorities identified Mason Triana, age 27, as the man who died following an armed confrontation and hours-long standoff with the Miami Police Department near the intersection of Northwest 26th Street and 15th Avenue.

According to initial reports, officers first responded to an abandoned vehicle blocking the intersection. A short time later, police received calls of gunfire in the same area.
