Clatsop County, OR – Two young siblings were killed and four other people, including the juveniles’ parents, were seriously injured after multiple vehicles collided on Highway 101 in Clatsop County Thursday afternoon, according to Oregon State Police.
The collision happened at 1:21 p.m. on June 26, 2025, on Highway 101, near milepost 27.
According to OSP, a Toyota Tacoma, operated by 30-year-old Ian Granville Hix from Seaside, was traveling west on Hwy. 101 when, for some reason, it crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a northbound Honda CRV, operated by 76-year-old Phyllis J. Harding from San Francisco, CA.
The Tacoma then continued in the northbound lane and collided head-on with a Nissan Rogue operated by a New Mexico man, Charles Paul LeBlanc, 57.
OSP said two juvenile girls in the Nissan – ages 15 and 12 years – were declared dead at the scene.
Ian, Harding, Charles P. LeBlanc, and LeBlanc’s passenger Jennifer Lyria LeBlanc, 52, of Albuquerque, NM, were all hospitalized with serious injuries.
The highway was closed for about seven hours as officers worked at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
