Bloomington, IL. – A man was killed in a car accident on Saturday morning in Bloomington.
The fatal collision happened at the intersection of West Market Street and Wylie Drive at around 8:02 a.m. on March 8.
According to the Bloomington Police Department, 49-year-old Scott W. Smith was driving a sedan when he collided with another sedan.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided medical attention to Smith before he was transported to Carle BroMenn Medical Center, where he died shortly after arrival.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
