The bicyclist was transported to the hospital, where he died while receiving treatment
Alachua County, FL. – A 68-year-old man was killed in a bicycle accident near High Springs in Alachua County on Sunday night.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on U.S. Highway 441 near Northwest 203rd Avenue.
The man was riding his bicycle across U.S. Highway 441 when he was struck by a sedan traveling south on U.S. Highway 441.
The bicyclist was transported to the hospital, where he died while receiving treatment.
The 33-year-old Lake City woman driving the sedan and her three juvenile passengers were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
