67-Year-Old Jerrie Enghausen Killed, 3 Injured in 2-Vehicle Collision at North Road and East Road in Livingston County

The deadly wreck was reported at around 4:20 p.m. on March 29 near the intersection of 600 block of North Road and 2200 block of East Road.

Livingston County, IL- The Livingston County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman killed in a two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon at North Road in Livingston County as Jerrie L. Enghausen, 67, of Gibson City.

The deadly wreck was reported at around 4:20 p.m. on March 29  near the intersection of 600 block of North Road and 2200 block of East Road.

A preliminary investigation revealed Mark Gal, 19, was allegedly driving a Buick Envision Eastbound on the 600 block of North Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a northbound car driven by Jerrie’s husband, James Enghausen, 67.

Both Vehicles sustained significant front-end damage and left the roadway. The Vehicle driven by Enghausen struck a utility pole.

Gal and a child passenger were taken to a hospital in Pontiac, where they were treated and released.

James was taken to a Peoria hospital, where he remains in the ICU in Stable condition.

Jerrie was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gal has been issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation.
