Orange County, FL – Four people are dead and another injured following a deadly two-vehicle traffic collision on Central Parkway in Orange County on Saturday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The deadly accident happened at about 10:52 a.m. on March 1 in the eastbound lanes of Central Parkway east of Whitley Place

FHP investigators said two vehicles, described as a 2024 Toyota Camry and a 2024 BMV M2, were above the speed limit on Central Parkway. At some point, the BMW moved from the outside lane to the inside lane while trying to pass the Toyota.

The BMV driver, a 26-year-old Orlando man, then tried to move back into the outside lane but the BMW’s rear struck the left front side of the Toyota.

The impact sent bother cars off the roadway, onto a shoulder where the Toyota struck a light pole before crashing into several trees. The back seat passenger of the Toyota was ejected.

The BMW also slammed into several trees.

The BMW driver and a front-seat passenger of the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other passengers, one from the BMW and the one ejected from the Toyota, were taken to Orlando Health Dr. Phillips Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The driver of the Toyota was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
