3 Killed in Head-On Crash on S Stony Island Avenue

Chicago, Il. – Three persons were killed, one person was hurt following a head-on collision early Sunday morning in Chicago, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The deadly collision occurred at about 3:04 a.m. in the 11200 block of South Stony Island Avenue.

Police said two Dodge Challengers, black and red crashed head-on in unclear circumstances.

The motorist operating the red Dodge was declared dead at the crash site.

A 20-year-old man riding in the reed vehicle was hurt in the collision.

The black vehicle’s occupants, a male driver and a female passenger, were declared dead at the crash site.

The names of the deceased persons and the 20-year-old man injured were not immediately released.

Additional details regarding this collision were not released.

The incident remains under investigation.
