Police said a 31-year-old man was heading westbound in a Hyundai sedan when he ran a stop sign and hit a Honda sedan that was heading northbound on Lowe Avenue. The Hyundai then struck a parked Infiniti SUV on 31st Street.

Bridgeport, IL. – Three persons were injured, two persons were hurt following a multi-vehicle accident on Friday morning in the Bridgeport neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The accident happened at about 7:30 a.m. June 20 in the 600-block of West 31st Street.
Police said a 31-year-old man was heading westbound in a Hyundai sedan when he ran a stop sign and hit a Honda sedan that was heading northbound on Lowe Avenue. The Hyundai then struck a parked Infiniti SUV on 31st Street.
The Honda driver, 68-year-old driver, sustained minor injuries due to the collision. The person was transported to Stroger Hospital in a stable condition.
A male Hyundai passenger sustained injuries to his head and chest. He was transported to Stroger Hospital and listed in critical condition.
The Hyundai’s driver sustained minor injuries and fled the scene following the accident.
Officers took the Hyundai’s driver and passenger into custody.
The motorist was issued four citation and charges are pending.
An investigation is ongoing.
