Both drivers suffered serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital
Whitley County, IN. – Two drivers were seriously injured in a collision that happened in Whitley County on Friday evening, January 31.
According to the Indiana State Police, the accident happened around 8:05 p.m. on US 30 near County Road 700 East.
66-year-old Sandra McCoy of Columbia City was driving a Nissan Rogue westbound in the eastbound lanes of US 30 when she collided head-on with a Kia Sedona, driven by 39-year-old Kathleen Johnson.
Both drivers suffered serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
