Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said the fatal collision happened at about 9:49 p.m. on March 28 at the intersection of NE 592nd Street and NE 173rd Avenue in Old Town.

Dixie County, FL – Two people, a man and a woman, were killed and another person was critically hurt following a head-on collision in Dixie County Friday night.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said the fatal collision happened at about 9:49 p.m. on March 28 at the intersection of NE 592nd Street and NE 173rd Avenue in Old Town.
As per the FHP, two pickup trucks, one operated by a 24-year-old Old Town man and another by an unidentified male collided head-on at the intersection.
The unknown male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 35-year-old Old Town woman, sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
FHP said both victims were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The 24-year-old driver was hospitalized with critical injuries.
No additional details are available at this time.
The accident remain under investigation.
