Two people injured in collision on West Washington Avenue in Yakima

Yakima, WA. – Two people were injured in a head-on collision in Yakima on Tuesday morning, April 1.
According to the police, the accident happened around 8:24 a.m. in the 2800 block of West Washington Avenue.
A 2008 GMC Sonoma pickup truck and a Ford F-150 pickup truck collided head-on in unclear circumstances.
A 39-year-old man was trapped inside a GMC and had to be extricated before being transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries.
The 60-year-old man in a Ford F-150 pickup truck was transported to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both drivers were Yakima residents.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
