Chicago, IL. – Two people were injured in a car accident that happened on Sunday morning in Chicago.

According to Chicago police, the accident happened around 8 a.m. in the 100 block of South Columbus Drive.

A vehicle was traveling eastbound on Monroe when the driver ran a red light and collided with another vehicle traveling northbound on Columbus Drive.

The 19-year-old man driving the eastbound car was injured and was taken to Stroger Hospital.

The 47-year-old male driver of the northbound car was taken to Northwestern Hospital for treatment.
