Sparks, Nevada – Two drivers were injured, one severely, following a two-vehicle traffic collision on Interstate 80 in Sparks Saturday afternoon, according to Nevada State Police.
The Nevada State Police said the crash happened at about 2:16 p.m. on January 11, on westbound Interstate 80 near Rock Boulevard.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a silver Cadillac SUV was stalled on the freeway when a black Nissan sedan rear-ended it.
One of the drivers sustained severe injuries and the other suffered minor injuries, the NSP said.
The drivers were the only occupants of their vehicles.
The freeway was shut down for several hours as officers worked to clear the scene. The freeway has since been re-opened.
No additional details are available at this time.
The crash is under investigation.
