Escambia County, FL – Children were among several parties who were injured in a car accident in Escambia County on Saturday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Pine Road near State Road 297 at about 10:08 a.m. March 15.
According to the FHP, multiple vehicles collided at the intersection after one of the drivers failed to yield to the right-of-way.
An SUV involved in the accident was pushed off the side of the roadway and it slammed into the front of the Elegant Kitchen & Bath.
A 5-year-old Massachusetts girl was ejected as the vehicles collided and was hurt.
Another Massachusetts girl, a 6-year-old, was also a passenger in one of the vehicles and was also injured.
Two adults, a 29-year-old Cantonment man and a 39-year-old Massachusetts man, were also injured.
The patients were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
