A deputy was injured in the accident and was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital
Sarasota, FL. – A man died in a crash that left a sheriff’s deputy injured on Thursday evening in Sarasota.
According to the police, the accident happened around 5:38 p.m. in the area of Beneva Road and Webber Street.
Authorities reportedly attempted to stop Cody Burrow, 31, but the man failed to yield and crashed his pickup truck into a Tesla and multiple Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office vehicles.
Burrow then continued before crashing into a utility pole at Lockwood Ridge Road and 53rd Street.
Burrow died in the crash.
