Phoenix, AZ – One person was killed following a rollover traffic collision on Interstate 10 in west Phoenix Wednesday evening.
The deadly crash occurred just before 5 p.m. on the eastbound side of 10 Freeway near 79th Avenue.
Arizona Department of Public Safety said two vehicles were involved in the collision.
One of the cars overturned, landing on its roof and the driver was ejected from the car.
The driver was critically injured and later died. The identity of the victim has not been released.
It was not immediately clear if anyone else was injured.
The eastbound lanes of the freeway were closed at 83rd Ave. but reopened just before 7:30 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
