One driver was airlifted to a Chicago area hospital where he later died while receiving treatment
Merrillville, IL. – One person was killed in a car accident on Saturday afternoon in Merrillville.
According to the police, the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. in the 8700 block of Taft Street at Indiana 55.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately determined.
One driver was airlifted to a Chicago area hospital where he later died while receiving treatment.
The second driver was taken to a local hospital and then later flown to a Chicago area hospital and is listed in critical condition.
