A sedan was traveling south on Lockwood Ridge Road in the right lane when it struck a pedestrian
Manatee, FL. – A man died after being hit by a car on Monday evening in Manatee.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8 p.m. in the area of Lockwood Ridge Road and 55th Avenue Drive East.
A sedan was traveling south on Lockwood Ridge Road in the right lane when it struck a pedestrian who was walking east across the road.
The 74-year-old man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The 90-year-old driver of the car and a 91-year-old passenger were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
