Man killed and another seriously injured in two-car accident at Barrancas Avenue and Nimitz Court.
Escambia, FL. – A man was killed in a car accident that left another seriously injured in Escambia on Tuesday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Barrancas Avenue and Nimitz Court.
A red Dodge Ram pulling a red utility trailer was driving westbound on Barrancas Avenue when it collided with a black Chevy El Camino that pulled out in front of the truck at the intersection.
The 73-year-old man driving the El Camino was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The 29-year-old man driving the truck was seriously injured in the accident and was airlifted to Baptist Medical Center.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
