The sedan driver was taken to an area hospital where they died while receiving treatment.

Chicago, IL. – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Sunday morning in Chicago.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident happened around 3:15 a.m. on the southbound Dan Ryan Expressway near 87th Street.
As many as six vehicles may have been involved in the collision. A preliminary investigation indicates a Nissan sedan was stalled in the second left inside lane when a semi-truck that was unable to stop rear-ended it.
The sedan driver was taken to an area hospital where they died while receiving treatment.
A passenger in the sedan was also taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
