Bay County, FL – One person was killed and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Bay County on Monday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place on State Road 77 at about 8:30 p.m. on March 24.
A 48-year-old man from Panama City was driving southbound on SR 77 when he drifted into the northbound side and collided head-on with an oncoming SUV operated by an 18-year-old Panama City man.
The southbound car then hit a northbound pickup truck driven by a 44-year-old Chipley man.
The Panama City driver died in the accident. His passenger, a 46-year-old woman, and the occupants of the SUV – the 18-year-old driver and his 17-year-old female passenger from Lynn Haven, were seriously injured in the incident. All three patients were transported to the hospital.
The pickup truck driver sustained minor injuries.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
