Dunnellon Man Killed, 2 Injured in Lake County Accident on SR 19 near Arrowtree Boulevard
Lake County, FL. – One person was killed and two others were injured in a collision between two vehicles in Lake County late Saturday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident happened around 11:40 p.m. on March 22, on SR 19 south of Arrowtree Boulevard.
A 2020 Audi A3 was reportedly traveling south on SR 19 when it drifted into the northbound side and hit the left side of an oncoming 2013 Ford Mustang.
The impact pushed the Mustang off the side of the roadway and it ended up in a ditch.
The driver of the Mustang, a 30-year-old man from Dunnellon, was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed in the accident.
The two occupants of the Audi had minor injuries and were taken to South Lake Hospital.
An investigation into the collision is being handled by the FHP.
