The grisly wreck was reported near Coors Boulevard and Sequoia Road on March 28, just before midnight, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.
Reportedly, a Nissan Juke and a Volkswagen were traveling south on Coors Boulevard when they collided and lost control.
Both vehicles crossed the median into northbound traffic and the Nissan overturned, ejecting the driver.
The Nissan driver was declared deceased at the scene while the other motorist sustained minor injuries.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
Additional details regarding the collision were not provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
