Volusia County, FL – One person was killed and another injured in a motorcycle collision in Volusia County on Thursday night, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident took place on Charles R. Beall and DeBary Plantation boulevards at about 8:30 p.m. on March 27.
According to the report, a 54-year-old DeBary man was riding a motorcycle southbound on Charles R. Beall Boulevard when he collided with a northbound SUV that was trying to make a left turn onto DeBary Plantation Boulevard.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A passenger on the motorcycle was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV, a 76-year-old DeBary man, was not hurt.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
