The Belvidere woman was airlifted to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville
Woodstock, IL. – A 19-year-old Belvidere woman was hospitalized in critical condition following a car accident that happened near Woodstock on Tuesday, February 25.
According to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 4:18 p.m. in the 15200 block of Kishwaukee Valley Road.
The woman was driving a 2000 Ford van eastbound on Kishwaukee Valley Road when she failed to yield the right of way and collided with a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox waiting to make a left turn into a driveway.
The Ford continued into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a 2019 Honda CRV.
The Belvidere woman was airlifted to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
A 22-year-old passenger in the 2000 Ford van was taken to Northwestern Medical Huntley Hospital.
The 62-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
The 37-year-old male driver of the Honda was injured in the accident and was taken to Northwestern Medical Huntley Hospital for treatment.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the accident.
