Bullhead City, AZ – A woman from Idaho was killed in a collision involving a UTV in Bullhead City on New Year’s Eve, according to the Bullhead City Police Department.
The wreck took place on Arizona Highway 68 near Landon Drive at about 3:40 p.m. December 31.
A passenger in the UTV, Trena Yvette Reinhart, 48, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to the report, a 2004 red Ford Explorer was traveling westbound on Highway 68 when it struck a Can-Am off-road vehicle that tried to cross the highway.
Trena’s husband Laurence Jason Reinhart, 49, of Idaho Falls, was the driver of the UTV and was flown to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas for treatment of serious injuries.
The other driver, Dennis Mathias Hogue, 76, of Mohave Valley, was taken to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, Laurence was wearing a seatbelt but Trena was not and was ejected.
The accident is under investigation.
