Egypt, Texas — September 28, 2025: Authorities identified Theodore S. Speaker II, age 45, as the man shot and killed by deputies with the Wharton County Sheriff’s Office near 126 County Road 255 in Egypt, Texas.
According to police, deputies responded to a call regarding a disturbance. When they arrived, they made contact with Speaker. During the encounter, police claim Speaker brandished a firearm and pointed it at officers, prompting one of the deputies to fire, fatally striking him.
