Sparks, NV – One person was killed and another was seriously injured after a two-car crash in Sparks Monday morning, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
The accident happened just after 5 a.m. at the intersection of Pyramid Highway and North McCarran Boulevard
Investigators said the crash occurred when a Nissan pickup heading westbound on McCarran Boulevard ran a red light at Pyramid Way and collided with a southbound Jeep at the intersection.
NSP said both drivers were hospitalized but the driver of the Jeep died at the hospital. The driver of the pickup sustained serious injuries.
The name of the deceased driver has not been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
