Yuma, AZ. – A 21-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident near Yuma early Saturday morning, according to the authorities.
The fatal accident happened around 4:45 a.m. on December 6, at the intersection of S. Avenue B and W. County 14th Street near Yuma International Airport.
Authorities said the woman was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene after the accident.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle was described by the investigators as a sedan or coupe with damage to the front passenger-side headlamp.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
