Chicago, IL – A woman was killed Sunday morning in a pedestrian accident in Chicago, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The deadly accident happened around 6:40 a.m. in the 800 block of West Roosevelt Road.
Police said a 35-year-old woman was driving eastbound when she hit a 69-year-old woman who was walking on the street.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.
The driver was taken into custody and charges are pending.
The CPD’s Major Accidents Investigation Unit is conducting the investigation.
