Tacoma, WA. – The driver who was injured in a two-vehicle collision last week in Tacoma has died, according to the WSP.

The collision happened on December 30, at the intersection of East 72nd Street and McKinley Avenue.

A WSP trooper tried to pull over a vehicle, but the suspect driver fled and crashed into another vehicle at the intersection.

The suspect vehicle caught on fire after the collision.

The driver of the second vehicle had to be extricated and was taken to the hospital, where they died on January 2.

The suspect driver was also taken to the hospital and could possibly face charges of vehicular homicide.

The WSP is investigating the accident.
