Steven Gilreath Jr. Dies after Boone County Accident on I-65 Northwest of Lebanon
Boone County, IN. – The driver killed after a truck accident on Thursday morning has been identified as Steven Gilreath Jr., 36, of Fortville, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred a while before 8.45 a.m. on May 22, on southbound I-65 at the 149 mile-marker, approximately six miles northwest of Lebanon.
The Indiana State Police said a 2007 Ford crashed into the rear of a semi-truck that had halted under unclear circumstances.
Gilreath died in the collision.
All the southbound lanes were blocked for around three hours following the crash, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
An investigation is ongoing.
